what do ball pythons teeth look like

- i'm gonna goright for his head. you ready? woah, watch yourself, watch yourself. (pained cry) geez, he got me! (fast-paced drums) (roar) - [coyote peterson]snake, snake snake! it's a python!

burmese python. wow! pretty good size, too. oh, he's hissing. let me get him backout here on the road. - [camera man] woah. - holy cow. - [camera man] howdid you see him? - geez.

he was just startingacross the road. let me try to get himto stop right here. woah, buddy. bring him back, bring him back. there we go. look at that. that is the invasiveburmese python there. good size one, too. probably about fiveand a half feet.

i'm gonna go right for his head. geez, he got me. oh, i missed the head, then it took a bite. - you all right? - yeah, i'm okay. man, those teeth are sharp. he moved forward justas i was going for-- oh, geez, he justbit that camera. all right. (cries out in pain)

look at that, that is apython bite, right there. hold on, let me try that again. - [camera man] yeah. oh, there we go. wow, look at that mouth. all right, good thing i'vegot him the second time. look at those razor-sharp teeth. man, that's what justwent right into my hand. look at that snake.

- he nailed you. - he did nail me, andthat hurt pretty bad. let me get him underbetter control here. - here, let's moveout of the wind. let's tuck into thislittle impasse here. here we go. - okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. woo! oh, how cool was that.

i didn't think we weregonna see anything today. man. it's most likely this is asnake that was born in the wild. definitely not used tobeing around humans. as you can see, he gaveme a pretty nasty bite on my hand there. good news for me is thatthis snake is non-venomous, so i'm going to be just fine. it's no wonder thatthese snakes stay

so incredibly well camouflagedinto the environment. if i put him down in thegrasses here, look at this. i'm just gonna let hishead go a little bit. watch yourself. i don't think he'd gonnabite you, don't worry. he just completely disappearsamongst the grasses and the leaves. holy cow. all right, let me pull himback a little bit there.

now, i can neverrecommend that you run out into the wild and try topick up a python like i did. as you saw, when i went forthe grab behind the head, i was just a little bitshort of the safe zone, and i ended up taking a bite. now, i have oneother time in my life caught a burmese python out here in the wilds of southflorida, but nothing tops coming across a reptile on a day

when you didn't thinkyou would see anything. and for just a moment, the sun came out and, of course, assoon as it does, the reptiles beginto get active. such a beautiful creature. okay, okay, you're all right. i'll just let him go upover my shoulder there. maybe he'll go downthe side of my back. you see that?

- as long as he doesn'tconstrict around my neck, i'm gonna be just fine. - [camera man] now, this snake just bit you and you feelcomfortable doing this? - i do, i feel totallycomfortable at this point. now, could he bite me again? absolutely. is he going to bite me again? i hope not, but i'm puttingvirtually no pressure

on the snake's body. i'm just putting onehand after another, letting him slither over me, and he's stayingcompletely calm. he's figured out at this point that i'm not causinghim any imjury. obviously not a predator. if i was, i would be biting him. in no way is this snake feelingthreatened at the moment,

but every time he cockshis head back like that, i have to just give him alittle bit of respect and say, okay, we do not want youto take a lunge at my face, 'cause that is a setof teeth that you do not want to gettagged by in the face. wow. unbelievably beautiful. i love coming acrossany sort of snake out here in the wild, evenif it is an invasive species.

you just have toappreciate those moments that you interact with nature and truly get up close. i'm coyote peterson. be brave. stay wild. we'll see you onthe next adventure. because this snake is invasive, we could not releaseit back into the wild.

it was given to a research group and will be used as aneducational ambassador. if you thought thiswas one wild adventure, check out the time iwas chomped by another florida invader, thecuban knight anole. and don't forget, subscribe to joinme and the crew on this season ofbreaking trail. ouch!

wow, those teethare super sharp. (bear growl and coyote howl)
