for me one of the most memorable moments was when we did the freddy mercury concert in london i don't really remember what year it was maybe 92 but it was great, we did was gunes 'n' roses it was metallica it was def lapperd,spinal tap, queen there were lot of great bands on it for me it was david mowie and mick ronson were playing together and mick ronson is one of my favourite guitar players of all time so that was a real experience for me
what music means to me, i mean music is my life i mean it surrounds me 24/7,its how i earn a living so music is extremely important to me i when you getup in the morning you listen to music when you are going to bed in the night, you listen to music when you are in the car you listen to music you know it's around me all the time it's when i was young, it's what made me be who i am i have a couple of vintage harley davidson's
and i do a lot of work on them, i have like a little garage at my house and we like to tinker with things, we like to build things and do welding and we just got a lathe and a mill so i'm just getting into that a liitle bit you know creating different parts for the motorcycle so yeah that's a big hobby of mine that's a tricky one when i was really really young i saw a poster of jimmy hendrix in a head shop
and i just thought he was the coolest looking human being i have ever seen and it just kinda clicked something in my head, i wanna be him and i'm not even really a big hendrix guy as a guitar player it was more of his persona that i really liked, that freedom he expressed, to me that was something that i wanted to be like so so i was a guitar player from day one what does passion mean to me? well, i mean as an artist passion is everything you know
when you're young you have a lot of vigour and you have a lot of passion stuff the key is to keep that passion throughout your life you know can't help having up's and down's when it's down, that's really you know what build's your character so passion is important,if you don't have passion you probably shouldn't be an artist having a passion for something typically means you're willing to go after it be a part of it, make it a part of your life, no matter what gets in your way you when you have a passion for music, it doesn't matter how much it costs or how far you have to travel or how little sleep your getting, your gonna make sure
you get there and you do the show and you know, we all do this for the passion music it's not for the money or the girls or all the stuff that they say it is it's obviously for passion you know and that's always something to live by so just get a passion for something how do i grow with failure? let me see well you learn from it, you learn from it i mean look, we are all humans and we all make mistakes and we don't always succeed you know
i have started a few bands that weren't successful you know but you learn from it you know, you try to take the positive from that you know and what did i do wrong and what's my responsibility? i think the most important thing to say to young musicians is no.1 be orginal, do something that hasn't been done before we have already had a lot of great band's, we need more great band's we dont need more band's that sound like everybody else we need some band's that are orginal, very creative, unique you know add something to the party you know, dont just copy somebody else
