a lot of patients have had several fillings on a tooth, or have had a tooth break, have reached a state where they can restore the tooth with a dental crown which is a dental replacement for a tooth that is made in a lab. the lab sends us this dental crown, which a lot of patients call a cap, that covers over the tooth and replaces the missing portion of the tooth. there's been a lot of improvements, recently, with dental crowns. a lot of crowns in the past were made all of metal, or were made of metal with a porcelain piece that was fused to the metal which often times had a tendency to break. now we make a crown that is fully porcelain. it's very aesthetic to the patient.
it has improved durability and strength to meet the patient's needs.
