so, are you wondering on how you can get usedto talking again, with partial dentures? well, my name is michelle, and i'm a dental assistantwith solutionz, and i'm going to talk to you today, about different ways, on how you canget used to talking again, with partial dentures, especially if you've never had them before, and you've just recently had several teeth extracted, and you have a partial denture.it's going to take some time, and usually, a lot of times what we recommend to patients,is if they wear their partial dentures as much as possible, this will help functionwith them, a lot better. it usually takes about a good two to three days, for you toactually start talking correctly again. a lot of times what the patients will startdoing, is they actually talk with a lisp,
so it usually takes about a good two to threedays. the more that you talk, say if you can actually take a book and read a book out loud, the more that you can talk, actually your body will start to become accustomed to thepartial dentures, and it will actually just basically train itself. your tongue and yourlips will just form around them, and your body will become accustomed, and just trainitself, back to talking without the lisp, so function with them as much as possible.a lot of times, you'll start getting sore spots, and a lot of times what people do,is they'll take them out, and then not wear them. that's just defeating the purpose, soif you can wear them as much as possible, and just go see your general dentist, so therefore,he can adjust out the sore spots. these are
all great options, on how you can get usedto talking again, with partial dentures, but once again, my name is michelle. i'm a dentalassistant with solutionz, and i just gave you a couple of little tips, on how you canget used to talking, with partial dentures.
