i'm dr. joe neely and i practice with thebarton oaks dental group. i'm going to talk about the types of partial dentures and whatthey look like. you can have an acrylic or plastic supported partial denture. often calleda flipper. and they're consisted of plastic and they're somewhat gum colored. and thenobviously, the teeth that are in them. the little scallops or the areas that rest againstthe teeth for support. you have a more traditional partial denture that has a metal framework.and has arms that hold the partial in place. with a little recedes and then the replacementteeth. where there aren't replacement teeth on both sides. they often have plastic skirtaround the denture. you also would have the option of having a partial that's implantsupporting. the support for the partial would
be in the bone. and inside your denture. andpartial or complete. and that would snap down.
