so were you just recently prescribed by yourgeneral dentist on wearing your night guard but you are just unsure on exactly how towear it? my name is michelle and i'm a dental assistant with solutionz and i'm going toexplain to you on how you can wear your night guard. it is pretty much easy depending onthe night guard that your dentist prescribed whether it is a hard night guard, a mediumnight guard or a soft night guard is determined on how to wear it. usually with the hard nightguards it actually locks your upper and your lower teeth into place so therefore you cannotgrind back and forth whenever you are sleeping. a medium sized night guard is similar to thehard but it is not as thick or bulky and then the soft night guard is very pliable and itlooks similar to this. it moves easily. it
has a lot of flexibility to it but if youdo have to wear a hard night guard you would just place it in your mouth and then you wouldactually bite down on your back teeth so therefore your upper and lower back teeth will kindof click into place and then that will prevent you from grinding and then you just wear itfor the recommended time as far as eight hours or while you are sleeping or whatever yourdentist prescribes to you and then you just take it out in the morning. of course justgive it a good brush with your toothbrush and toothpaste to kind of keep it clean andthen proceed throughout your day but depending on what type of night guard you have beenprescribed for then you would just wear it according to what your dentist recommended.once again my name is michelle and i'm a dental
assistant with solutionz and i just explainedto you on how you can wear your night guard.
